The Life of Malcolm X: An Islamic Perspective
A One Day Learning Seminar
All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action.
These simple and powerful words of the Prophet’s last sermon have been embedded into Islam’s call for justice, equality and tolerance. They are words that humble the soul and lift the spirit.
Decades earlier a young black boy was told that his dream to attain success will never be; simply because he was born the wrong skin color. Denial lead to defiance; defiance lead to prison and prison lead to humbling of the soul and lifting of the spirit.
ILF Houston invites you to come and experience the transformation of a one of the greatest personalities to come out of the African-American community in the last 100 years. Malcolm X was a Muslim, an articulate speaker and a dynamic personality. He is gone but his dawah still lives on.
